SAP Business One 9.3New Year, new version of SAP Business One – OK, it’s been in ramp-up for several months but businesses are finally set to take advantage of the Business One 9.3 update as it goes in to general release.

SAP are billing Business One 9.3 as a product release that cements the system’s position as the global-leader in SME technology and the most comprehensive and connected small business solution available. The full round-up of the update can be downloaded using the form below:

There’s the usual improvements to the architecture and engine of the system delivering enhanced security, analytics and overall performance but there’s also some pretty exciting new features being introduced which we’ll take a look at now…

NEW SAP HANA cockpit – A new cockpit template has been introduced utilising the intuitive Fiori-style dashboards, supported by SAP HANA database technology, to present business data in an easily consumable and attractive interface.

NEW Analytics Portal – A new analytics portal has been introduced which enables authorised users to schedule and generate reports without even having to log into the main SAP Business One application.

Excel imports – This powerful and unique functionality within SAP Business One has been expanded by the 9.3 release to cover journal entries, opening balances and serial/batch numbers. Users can now import even more data to the system without possessing any kind of back-end database skills.

Gross Price Mode – Use Gross or Net prices in documents and price lists – this is particularly useful for retail businesses.

CRM – The integrated SAP Business One CRM module has been centralised with it featured in the main navigation including sub-menu accessibility to all the major CRM functions.

Projects – Project billing has been improved with a wizard introduced to simplify both standard and milestone billing.

Production – Simple production routing has been introduced to the core system allowing light manufacturing processes to be better supported by standard functionality. Check out the video below to see how this works:
