IMS Euro Invest for the Future in Partnership with DCS

One of the UKs leading supplier of non-pharmaceutical medical products has made an investment in digital technology with DCS Solutions. IMS Euro based in Stockport are an international supplier of Healthcare & Veterinary medical consumable products who have successfully grown their business year on year.

The family owned business recognised the challenges they were facing with their legacy systems and after speaking with DCS Solutions, a local IT Business Solutions provider specialising in SME digitalisation, they realised that they needed to introduce a future proof ‘digital core’ in order to optimise processes and improve efficiency.

SAP Business One, the globally recognised and proven SME solution, was identified as the perfect fit to meet their finance, sales, purchasing, EDI and inventory controls needs. IMS Euro decided to partner with DCS to support them on this digital transformation project.

Andy Campbell Director at IMS Euro said: “We decided to implement our selected ERP solution (SAP B1) in partnership with DCS because we felt they took the time to fully understand our requirements, business goals and pains. They worked with us in a transparent and consultative way to guide us through the solution specification process.”

The new ERP solution will be hosted and proactively managed within the resilient and future proofed Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

IMS Euro are also looking to leverage SAP HANA, the in-memory database and analytical reporting tool which harvests the increasing value of business data to help with continued growth. In addition, they will also introduce bar code technology within the businesses warehouse operations.

Phase one of the project is planned to go live in 2020, with subsequent phases to mirror the planned investments in warehouse facilities and launch of new upgraded E Commerce platform.

DCS solutions are a UK wide SME focused digital transformation business that partner with leading IT companies like SAP and Sage to help their customers realise the business benefits available to them from investments in their IT infrastructure.
