It’s the nineteen eighties. New romantics, awful haircuts and acid washed jeans define the era. It’s also when a fledgling Sage partner called DCS Solutions opens its doors for business. While speculation that the founders started up just to get away from the aforementioned cultural phenomena is unconfirmed, DCS has certainly come a long way since those early days.
Today DCS has grown to become one of the leading software solution providers to the nation’s SMEs. With a portfolio of business applications across vendors like Sage and SAP along with expert IT services and strategic partnerships tailored to meeting the specific requirements of this sector, DCS has evolved into a genuine “one-stop-shop” technology solutions provider.
To celebrate this huge milestone, and our enduring partnership with Sage in particular, this month’s edition of Business Insider carries a double page spread focused on both our history and our future as a business at the cutting edge of SME technology.
Having worked with more than a thousand SME clients in those thirty years, and with an active client base today of over 400 businesses across the UK, it’s fair to say we’ve worked with just about every type of small business and we understand what makes them tick.
One of the reasons for DCS’s own long-term success has been a management approach built on the importance of closely monitoring current performance, identifying future opportunities and positioning the business in the best way to take advantage of them.
It is this approach that saw Dominic Ball and Richard Stathers join the DCS leadership team in late 2017, taking up the positions of Managing Director and Operations Director respectively.
Now in our thirtieth year of trading, we’re still as hungry as ever to continue achieving new levels of business growth. Coming in to 2018 on the back of a four year period of double-digit growth, this ambitious new leadership team are confident that there’s far more to come from DCS.
